AT&T: Froyo Update for Samsung - Samsung Readying 8.9-Inch Galaxy Tab Android Tablet For Summer 2011

This piece of news is kinda official. A Samsung spokesperson said in a statement to Yonhap, a Korean news agency, that the company is planning to release an 8.9-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab in the first-half of 2011.




The tablet is confirmed to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb, and various local media reports suggest that the tablet could become available as early as next month.

The 8.9-inch Galaxy Tab will join Samsung’s family of 7-inch and 10.1-inch Android tablets. Seems like the company wants to find out a size (form factor) that actually sells.
