New Delhi: The Department of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) questioned Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for the second time on Thursday about the undeclared dollars worth over Rs. 60 lakh.
He was questioned for 10 hours today and the DRI officials said they will question him again on Friday. Rahat was caught carrying on February 14.
Sources say it is now almost certain that the money he was carrying was received for his seven performances. Based on his information, the investigating agency is carrying out raids at forex dealers premises in Andheri.
The DRI has already conducted searches on the premises of "Eyeline Telefilm and Events" in Mumbai, owned by Chitresh, elder brother of Bollywood singer Aadesh Shrivastava.
Sources privy to the investigations had claimed that the investigators found Rs. 51 lakh in cash which was seized besides some documents. The Income Tax department will also look into the source of the money seized from the firm's premises.
