Chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor is the latest addition in the remake list. He has been roped in to play the lead role in the Hindi remake of 2009 Telugu blockbuster hit “Magadheera” starring Ram Charan and Kajal Agarwal.
The Hindi remake of the film will have Ranbir and Katrina as the lead pair. In the film Ranbir will play the role of a medieval warrior who protects his princess Katrina Kaif.
“Magadheera” will be produced by the producer of Ghajini, Madhu Mantena. The film is a love story of a warrior and a princess.
Sources state that the producer wanted to rope in the likes of Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor but as things did not work out, they approached Ranbir for the role.
In the film Ranbir will feature in double avatars for which Ranbir has also been asked to work on his body and get the desired macho shape.
