Shahrukh Khan’s home production Red Chillies Entertainment’s film ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ has released its first look.

Interestingly, the first theatrical trailer of director Roshan Abbas’s ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, which was released on Friday along with the Abhishek Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Game’, looks promising and fresh. It is a coming of age tale about four friends in St. Mark’S High School.

This youth centric movie is based on the director’s popular 1999 play ‘Graffiti’ and speaking about ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, Abbas stated, “It’s an adaptation of my play about a high school ‘Graffiti’, which I earlier wanted to turn into a graphic novel.”

Abbas tried to capture all the emotions in ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’
Abbas’s ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, slated to hit the screens on June 17, is supposedly made for today’s youth.

Speaking about the story of ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, Abbas stated, “The film is set in a high school and will try to capture the various emotions such as love, jealousy, pride that one goes through during school days.

“I believe some of the best days of our life are the ones that we spend in high school and it is this period of one’s life that the film will portray.”

‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ stars four young teens
‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’, produced by SRK’s home production and Cineyug's Morani brothers, stars a new breed of fresh faces like Zoa Morani, Giselle Monteiro, Ali Fazal and Satyadev Dube.

However, when the director was asked about why he didn’t cast Shahrukh in this film, Abbas stated that the film revolves around teens and teachers, and there was no role that would have suit SRK’s caliber.

“Our leads are four teens with a few teachers and parents forming the other people they play off against. No role was big enough for Shah Rukh to play and I wouldn't waste him in a cameo. His inputs and support is what we needed and you will see his touch in the promos,” said the AKK director.
