Calgary’s playoff hopes remain alive thanks to consecutive one-goal victories during a two-game trip to St. Louis and Colorado. Tanguay had a goal with an assist and Miikka Kiprusoff made 34 saves in a 2-1 win over the Avalanche on Sunday.
“We know obviously what situation we’re in,” Mark Giordano told the Flames’ official website. “But until that final day comes, we’re not going to give in. Nobody’s giving up in here.”
Tanguay has not given up, recording two goals and five assists the last three games. He has two with three assists versus Edmonton this season.
Kiprusoff has a 2.77 goals-against average during a five-game home winning streak against the Oilers.
