Protima Bedi sure didn’t wait for a police nod before famously running naked on Juhu beach. While Protima’s stunt was bold, most don’t know what to call Poonam’s act. Publicity stunt? Maybe.
Poonam insists she will stand by her promise. “Ya, I am ready to go nude even today, provided I get a green signal from the authorities. I am a law abiding citizen! I cannot do anything which will bring me into bad books.”
She’s not afraid now, is she? “I find nothing vulgar in going nude. We are all born nude! Everyone has different perceptions. If we look into it with simple, plain feelings then there is nothing bad,” she insists.
Would she do a Protima and run naked on the beach? How much is too much? “Yes! Why not? I feel we human beings are exaggerating nudity. In ancient days too, vagabonds and stone men wandered almost nude!”
Post the win, rumour has it Poonam has walked off a comedy show she was committed to and has signed on for Khatron Ke Khiladi.
“This information is wrong,” she insists. “I was not to shoot for any comedy show.” Will she pull another stunt to win KKK? She laughs aloud! “Well! I really have a strategy in mind but at the moment, I will not disclose it.”
