Not sure how I feel about this one. While I'm not too particularly sadden by their split, I think I'm just shocked that I would ever have to post a story on this couple.
After 25 years of marriage, former Governor of California, Arnold Schwarznegger, and Maria Shriver have announced that they are splitting, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The newspaper reports that Shriver moved out of the couple's Brentwood, CA home a few weeks ago.
The couple released a statement saying: "This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us. After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion and prayer, we came to this decision together. At this time, we are living apart while we work on the future of our relationship. We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives."
The newspaper also reports that Shriver moved out of the couple's Brentwood, CA home a few weeks ago.
"We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives," their statement continued. "We consider this a private matter and neither we nor any of our friends or family will have further comment. We ask for compassion and respect from the media and the public."
The couple met in 1977 when Tom Brokaw introduced them at a charity event. They wed in 1986.
