Bristol Palin Explains Why She Got Her Chin Fixed

Last week, reality television personality Bristol Palin caused a stir when she debuted a brand new face at an afterparty for the White House Correspondents Association Dinner. Several outlets noted that Bristol's face shape had changed, sparking speculation that the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had undergone the knife.

On Wednesday, Us Weekly revealed that Bristol had indeed submitted to surgery—for purely medical reasons, of course. Palin told the magazine that she'd had corrective jaw surgery, explaining, "It improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons...so my jaw and teeth could properly realign...I don't obsess over my face."

Of course, Bristol is thrilled with the results: "I look older, more mature, and don't have as much of a chubby little baby face!"

How convenient: You have a minor medical issue, you get a plastic surgery procedure without any of the accompanying judgment! No wonder so many Hollywood types compain about deviated septums.
