Haley Reinhart was eliminated from American Idol Thursday night, leaving Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina to battle it out for this season's top spot. But the little girl with the big voice promised her fans they hadn't seen the last of her.
"This is the biggest platform any girl -- anybody -- could ask for," she told Ryan Seacrest after the results were announced. "I rocked it out and I had a blast. And this is only the beginning. I thank you guys all so much."
With one last chance to perform on the Idol stage, Haley sang Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets," a song that gave her a big boost midseason, turning her into a frontrunner overnight. And before she left the stage she once again assured her fans, "That's not the end of this! This ain't the end of this shindig! See ya later."
Scotty and Lauren will battle it out one last time next week with the Idol finale scheduled for Wednesday.
