Justin Bieber Launches Fruity Perfume for His Fans
In Entertainment NewsSaturday, May 21, 2011
We envision a Justin Bieber concert to smell heavily of strawberries and Lip Smackers. But now it sounds like they're going to reek of the teen star's new scent, Someday. Yes, you read right: Justin is expanding his empire to include a women's fragrance.
The scent is billed as a "fruity gourmand" concoction aimed at his target market of 14 to 18-year-old girls. The fragrance will be packaged in a specially designed bottle with a plastic heart-shaped flower topper that reminds us of Marc Jacobs' Lola perfume. There will also be removable charms for teens to show their love for the Biebs not just in their smell, but in their accessories. The Biebs says:
Let’s be real, the way a girl smells is very important to a guy! I have such a deep connection with my fans, so creating a fragrance that I personally love is another way I can bring them closer to my world.
Someday by Justin Bieber will be available at high-end stores like Sephora, Nordstrom and Ulta starting in June. There won't be gallon-sized scents available for the most hardcore fans, but they will be able to get their fix in sizes ranging from 1 oz. for $35 to 3.4 oz for $55. Just in case the teens can't get enough, there's also hair mist and body lotion.
The one thing aw-worthy about this whole endeavor is that proceeds from the sales of the perfume will go to charity, including two of Bieber's faves, Pencils of Promise and Make-a-Wish. They're expecting to generate millions in charitable funds.
