It’s hard to imagine Katy Perry was ever insecure about her size 32D chest — but the 26-year-old singer tells the March issue of Elle that she was often mocked for having a bustier figure as a teen.
“I had enormous boobs that I didn’t know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute,” says the star, who estimates she’s shed about 15 pounds since her youth
It is not too often that people hear about girls, of any age, wishing for smaller boobs. Then again, Katy Perry is not an “average” girl. This newly married singer has just revealed that she was once so concerned about her “ample bust” that she wore chest minimizing underwear.
Although Katy Perry’s boobs today are not the biggest on the market, they still rank pretty high up there. However, when she was younger, her boobs were a bit too big for her body.
Katy just recently said during an interview that she used to be shaped like a square at one time. She said that she is generally around 130 pounds now, which is fine. However, when she was a kid, she was about the same height but weighed more like 145 pounds. Due to this, her boobs were “enormous.” She went on to say that she wore minimizing underwear to make them look smaller, but for anyone that has seen minimizing underwear knows that they are not cute.
Mrs Perry said that her bras had very thick straps. Thus, people used to make fun of her for wearing “over the shoulder boulder holders.” At that time, she just wanted to look like Kate Moss. However, little did she know at the time, that her boobs would later come in handy. Katy Perry said that one day someone told her that she should use her boobs to her advantage. So she said that she started to “utilize” them more and now look where she is.
Alright maybe not the best message to send to young girls, but it is Katy Perry. She is going to say whatever it is that she wants to say.
