Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon make a great couple for many reasons, among them their shared love of elaborate, borderline cheesy gifts.
Cannon has presented his wife with plenty of over-the-top jewelry in their three years of marriage, and now the superstar performer has a new item to add to her cache: A $12,000 nameplate necklace featuring the names of her new twins, Morrocan and Monroe.
According to PeopleStyleWatch, the Mother's Day present features 4 carats of diamonds and pink sapphires set in white and rose gold. Cannon had the necklace created for Carey at Jason of Beverly Hills. A source claims, "Nick came in and met with Jason on the Friday after his twins were born ... He was bleary eyed, looking so tired but so happy—all smiles, saying he wanted to design something special for Mariah's first Mother's day. He couldn't wait to surprise her on Sunday."
What do you think Mariah's going to get Nick for his first Father's Day? It's bound to have at least 4 carats of diamonds, whatever it is...
