Mercedes S Class engines and SL 350 entrant

As per company reports, Mercedes Benz is expected to augment their models in its S Class. Mercedes Benz just announced that they are on the brink of launching two new engines for their Mercedes S Class in India from the 3rd of May 2011. SL 350 and GL 500 will be the two new engine variants added to the existing S300L and S500CGI.

Priced at 72 lakhs, the S300L will have a 2996cc V6 engine with a horse power of 228 bhp. While the S500 CGI will come with 4663 cc V8 engine and horse power of 429 bhp. Mercedes Benz reporting on the overall sales during the year said that in the previous fiscal year, the company sold 1131 units of the S Class.

Mercedes now sees tremendous scope of increase in sales of its S-Class model with the help of their new engine range recently introduced by as much as 40 per cent. And if that’s not all, the new SL 350 will be shown to eager beavers tomorrow.
