I'm betting NBC sat down with David E. Kelly and told him good news/bad news.
Let's start with the good news.
NBC has renewed Kelly's new law show Harry's Law, starring Kathy Bates. While I'm not a fan of the show, it gets 11.6 million viewers per week, which is a modest number for the peacock number.
Now here's the bad news.
Kelly's pilot for Wonder Woman is officially dead. The DC Comics TV series starring Friday Night Lights star Adrianne Palicki hs been passed by NBC. Ever since word that a pilot was being shot for this series, it has been plagued by jokes. To make matters worse, when the first and second official photos of the Palicki in the costume were put on the Internet, a lot of concerns were expressed by TV critics and fans alike that the show wasn't staying with the true mythology of the comics.
While I am glad that this series got canned, I'm sad for Adrianne. She's a great actress and deserved a better pilot to star in. Let's hope another show picks her up.
