No Drugs and Booze Involved in Birth of Mariah Carey's Kids

No, this isn't a joke: Child Services were called to Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's home to make sure the couple weren't doing drugs and slamming down drinks when the pop diva gave birth to her twin sons late last month. Shockingly, the couple deny such allegations.

Cannon went on CNN's Piers Morgan Tonight to clear up the matter and to explain how the incident all began: "It all started where a nurse suggested to my wife that if you drink Guinness or a small amount of Guinness, the dark beer, that the yeast improves breastfeeding," he said. "Then they were saying that my wife was drinking beer and all that stuff. It’s like people would do anything to conjure up a story," he added.

We'd have more sympathy for the couple if they themselves hadn't gone to such lengths to make the birth of their kids a big deal. Between Mariah teasing their names on Twitter and Cannon telling the world how his pop star wife wanted her twins born while her favorite song played in the background, it's hard not to think it's them who are trying to conjure up any story they can.

Whatever the case, it's surely a good thing that no booze and drugs were involved, even if the twins might need a drink or two later in life to handle the nude pictures of their parents that hang in their hallways.
