'Jersey Shore' Filming Delayed

Anxiety waiting for the next season of Jersey Shore? Well there is a chance that you may have to wait a little bit longer

Filming was to commence on the third season of the hit MTV reality series, but has been pushed back a few weeks to accommodate Italy's president Gorgio Napolitano's tour of Florence, reports TV Guide.

"Production on Jersey Shore will begin this week, following the Italian presidential visit to Florence," MTV said in a statement. "In the ongoing spirit of cooperation, we're waiting until his official visit concludes to start filming."

This just adds onto the pile of setbacks that has been plaguing the production of the third season. The show has already gain negative press via the mayor of Florence, who is not too pleased of the cast coming to his town to shot. Unable to avoid their trip, the mayor of Florence has placed a lengthy amount of restrictions that MTV must abide by in order to film. They can't be filmed drinking in public or in bars or clubs that serve alcohol, and by extension, the show can't be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town. Also, the show must also be filmed to promote Italy's culture and food, but production is banned from filming in the city's historic buildings. So what exactly will they do during their tie in Florence?

While MTV is probably trying to come up with things for the gang to do, I doubt this issue is affecting the cast in any least. They all received raises that sees them getting paid at least $100,000 for their hard work. On top of it, DJ Pauly D has scored his own spin-off series along with Snooki and J-Woww. The Situation has also inked a development deal with the network.
