Google may have decided that the Nexus S is too good for the people in India but the good folks at Flipkart have managed to get their hands on it anyway and have now put it up for pre-order. The phone is priced at Rs. 27,999 and the expected to be available from the 1st week of April.
This is definitely good news for those who have been waiting for this phone and in the brief time that we spent with the phone, we really like the design, the display and smooth interface. But we would still like to ask whether it makes sense to go for this phone when you have so many better alternatives out there. The only advantage that Nexus S has over the other Android phones in the market is that it runs on Gingerbread, which neither Samsung's nor HTC's phones can do so far. Yet, they all are expected to get the update soon and Sony Ericsson is on the verge of launching its own range of Gingerbread smartphones in India, the Xperia Arc, Neo and Play.
So while some of you may be tempted to pre-order it right now, we would suggest you take some time and think through this decision.
