Apparently the 24-year-old tested positive for alcohol in February, just a week after the allegedly stolen necklace was given to LAPD and that whole fiasco surfaced.
After an appearance in court Wednesday, the matter was finally cleared up with LiLo pleading "no contest" to misdemeanor theft of the $2,500 necklace.
The probation report sums it up: "The probation officer believes that substance abuse is the root of the defendant's problems."
Lindsay wasn't given more rehab in the judge's sentencing yesterday, but she was ordered to have psychological counseling and community service, along with her 4-month jail term, which will likely be served as home detention with the monitoring bracelet she's already very familiar with.
