Jesse James to Marry Kat Von D This Summer, 'Can't Worry' About Sandra Anymore

Wednesday, May 4, 2011

After spending more than a year as one of the most reviled villains in pop culture, Jesse James is ready to move on, and said as much in a Good Morning America interview that aired this morning. Jesse, whose new book American Outlaw was released Tuesday, sat down for an interview where it was revealed that he's planning to marry tattoo artist Kat Von D this summer.

When asked by Vicki Mabrey whether he thought his quick rebound was hurtful to his ex-wife, Sandra Bullock, Jesse replied: "I can't worry about her anymore, you know? I think I've spent a good chunk of the last five or six years worrying only about her and what she thinks and what I should do and controlling all my movements and everything else. (...) I think it's time to worry about Jesse, and making sure Jesse's happy. "

Vicki said Jesse avoids trashing Sandra in his book, and when she asked if he would be faithful to Kat, he quickly replied "yes." Jesse, who has now moved to Austin with his children, went on to say the experience of the last year has made him stronger.

"God or whoever you believe in must have thought I was pretty ----ing strong to lump that on me. If I can come out of it, if I can stand up and take all of it... And I did, all of it, every single bit of it. I didn't hide from any of it. I took it all on the chin. And then guess what? I'm still standing."
